Martin of Holland said So where are the people I know?. A lot of literary figures in this book, but none of the gay (erotic) artists who really 'do something', or did, for many of us. Oh, yes, Tom of Finland (of course), but no Bastille, Tagame, Quaintance, Etienne - and that list could go on. Were they not considered fit for inclusion?. othoniaboys said A comprehensive overview. It is impossible to please everyone without making this book twice as long. I was a bit irritated at the inclusion of some people who are famous only for being gay. The absence of Winston Leyland of Gay Sunshine Press was quite a comment on how what goes around comes around. I was pleased at the inclusion of Michael Davidson and Sandro Penna, annoyed at the exclusion of Tony Duvert and Jens Eisenhardt. One could go on and on.
