The characters in those 2 books were well developed with a story that made you not want to put the book down, we got to know the girls personally and fall in love as they fell in love. This third book in the series feels rushed and it seems like all these 2 girls have in common is sex, the end of the book really should have been the middle of the book with the story of their connection then developing. Truthfully I thought there would be a "To Be Continued" on the last page. As a fan I feel cheated but will wait f. 2Jules4242 Gardenstate24 Only giving 3 stars because I love the first 2 books, Better Off Red and Blacker Than Blue. J Johnson ‘Soul to Keep’ is the third book in a series about vampires and demons, college life, and the Alpha Beta Omega Sorority. And while the two main women in each book are different, the underlying story does connect them enough that I would recommend reading ‘Better Off Red’ and ‘Blacker than Blue’ before turning to this volume. As with the previous installments, I loved the depth and richness of the characters, the extremely well-built world that included some details of vampire feeding that made me shudder, and added to that was an unusual relationship that started as n. Just not believable I've read the other books in the series and liked them. This onenot so much. Here's the thing with romance books for me: I have to like the characters so I can root for them and I have to actually believe their feelings for each other. I hated the characters in this book. Neither were likable, Jill was annoying and Tokyo was obnoxious. The reason they got together seemed forced and somewhat contrived. And what happened to Ginger?? She's nothing like her character in the first two books so it really threw me off. The storyline with the demon seemed rushed and made up like the author had to throw in some
