DESCRIPTION:
. From the Back Cover Centering on the close 34-year relationship with Einstein, the author begins this absorbing book by describing his vow on the battlefield of Verdun: 'God, save me, and I will serve you as long as I live.' A member of the League for Human Rights, the Alexander von Humboldt International Club, and other peace organizations, Professor Hermanns became a disciple of Albert Einstein
These verbatim conversations are published for the first time herewith. Einstein and Professor Hermanns knew too well Hitler’s visionary goal which was to make men automatons and strict followers of Nazism. They explored the nature of the cosmic man, but often discussed the horrors of the Holocaust and the implications of the atomic bomb. The theme throughout the four conversations surrounds the issue against a recurrent Anti-Semitism, especially that conducted by the Nazi.. Unwilling to succumb to Nazism as well as fulfilling his desire to survive rather than becoming himself a victim of the Holocaust, Einstein fled to America, where he explored the nature of man and man’s potential to achieve new heights as human beings. Professor Hermanns interviewed Einstein in Germany before World War II, and in America after the War. In his candid revelations, Einstein transcends physics and enters into a new sphere of humanism—one of a single humanity based on dignity
An interesting account about discussions between Albert Einstein and William Hermanns. Einstein and the Poet in Search of the Cosmic Man, written by author Hermanns, centers on discussions with Albert Einstein. The discussions range from a time before World War II and afterwards. Einstein and Hermanns also discuss a range of topics. But at the risk of revealing too much about the content of this book, I will say no more about that. The cover design has the photo of Einstein predominately shown and rightfully so in this reader’s opinion. Since this book centers on the author’s discussions with . The Spirituality of a Genius Karen Hosch While the formatting of this book suggests it is self-published (typos, etc.), there is no doubt of the sincerity of the author and his passion to present more of the Einstein legacy of humility. Jung scholars will note there are comments on the relationship between these two great men. Adds to the wealth of the spirituality of this great genius.. "Tagore a Bengali language poet and Einstein both did not like the translaions of these dialogues" according to Nereida Cordero-Thompson. Unfortunately only one of five dialogue discussions between Rabindinath Tagore were included. Tagore a Bengali language poet and Einstein both did not like the translaions of these dialogues, as the book points out. Still the only source known to me now in English for even this one important dialogue.
