DESCRIPTION:
Deserves to collect dust on the Warehouse shelves at Amazon. This is a book seemingly written specifically for me! I am a total gear-head, VERY into cars, VERY into Wright, and I own a Usonian home in Wisconsin that was designed by one of the earliest apprentices of FLLW. Having said that this book deserves to be returned to Amazon. There is nothing new, nothing interesting, and nothing even noteworthy in this book. The forward/introduction is basic and includes no information that is not available elsewhere. There are only a few photogr. "An unknown side of Frank Lloyd Wright" according to JAHelm. Thoroughly researched, beautifully assembled! This work is a piece of art and history at the same time. Anyone who is interested in Frank Lloyd Wright will find this book interesting and intriguing.. CJess "gadget guy" said Four Stars. Really interesting to know.
This unique visual history of Wright's 85 cars and one motorcycle uses original magazine ads to describe the make and model of each vehicle. The last two have been well documented, but the Cars have not been covered at all until this book. They are presented in the order in which they were purchased.. Cars were one of Frank Lloyd Wright's great obsessions, along with Architecture and Japanese Prints
