"Too silly to take seriously." according to Angel E. Navarrete. I'm not a big fan of this story, but it was alright considering I read it as part of Kindle Unlimited. I wouldn't buy this book because the story wasn't that serious to me, and while I enjoy HEA endings, I expected some of these characters to die to make the story more impactful. Nobody on the Hero side dies, which after some of the wounds received by one of them, seems too improbable.The writing was alright, but again at times is just too comedic and improbable for me. A good book, especially if you know what you're looking Reader A good book, especially if you know what you're looking for. The characters make you laugh, and there's soul and personality behind them, especially in the way they're written. Read about it before or "Look Inside" is helpful, too. But Wright does a good job giving these characters life.. This author does not know what consenting mean. "This M/M sci-fi contains scenes of domestic discipline between consenting adults." This is the warning we get from the author. This is a false statement. To be consenting BOTH have to be willing. Del is not willing in the beginning of this. Being pulled up by his hair and spanked against his will is not willing. This is a story of Stockholm with abuse. This is rape. Which is sad because this could have been a great story. This author needs to learn what consent means
To get off of the space station Del desperately needed a job on board a spaceship. He wasn’t looking for love and he certainly wasn’t wanting the attention of a grumpy alien Captain who disciplined wayward crewmembers or threw them out of airlocks. In this gay sci-fi follow the misadventures of a young human on board a Xolian space cruiser where being the Captain’s mate just might prove to be more difficult than being his First Officer.. Maybe it was fate. Del never expected to be the Captain's new mate
