"Well written and a great introduction to rapidly evolving trade" according to Margaret R. Obear. I found this book to be an easy read, good for people new to cartography or an old hand. While it does not go into very technical directions (html, java script, etc) it covers all the basics. I think that had it been more oriented to the >how to< phase it would be out of date and of no use to anyone in just a few years. As it stan. "A neat little book that fills a niche!" according to Geographer. I saw a preview copy of this book. It was in printed in black and white, so I can't speak to the production quality. However, the content was really interesting. It reads more like a guidebook or treatise than a textbook, but I think that is a good thing. It was actually kind of fun to read.
