A brilliant drag queen memoir Mark Doty Margot Howard Howard's book is the best drag queen autobiography I know -- hilarious, marvelously detailed, and finally delightfully slippery. Who is this creature, and what about her could we ever be certain of? Ms Howard Howard demonstrates that identity is often found in performance, in the playing out of oneself,in costume and tale-telling and writing oneself LARGE. All aficionados of drag, all connoisseurs of the further reaches of the memoir, and all theorists of identity & truth-telling will love this book.. Lauren said Interesting read for sure.. Book is crazy and sad, but enjoyable. Came recommended by Wow Report so checked it out. I'm a huge supporter or the LGBTQ community and would recommend this for any youngins who don't know anything about Gay History.. Kinda boring This book fell short of my expectations. I thought there was going to be more about her relationship with the infamous harlem hustler Nicky Barnes, but it wasnt. Margo talked more about his/her upbringing. overall it was a boring book. I almost lost interest.
