This book is a great collection of airplane nose art as it relates to a period in US history. It portrays the toughness, camraderie and in a sense the longings of the of the air crews. They were allowed to create this nose art in order to enhance morale and build an air crew team. It was one of those little ideas that worked. Because of how the military operates today we will never again see nose aircraft art like this.
