Essential reference for IPv6 in Winodws Richard M. Hicks IPv6 is coming, and this book is the essential reference for the IPv6 protocol as it is implemented in Windows operating systems. If you are an IT professional, this book should be in your library. Read it and you will have a fundamental understanding of this critically important networking protocol.. Good book for Network Engineers, a little much for Network Administrators. Vertech This book is very well written and highly detailed. I would recommend it for Network Engineers wanting to know a lot about IPv6, but it is a little too detailed (in depth) for Network Administrators (which I am). As much as I love to study the bit level composition of network packets, it does little to help me configure and manage networks. I was hoping to read a lot about how to utilize/manage IPv6 on Window's based LANs (i.e. a practical guide) but instead read a lot about all the IPv6 theory and specificat. This is the best ipv6 I have read for both windows and general understanding of ipv6, and it covers MODERN ipv6 bakergarry Most ipv6 books you will see were written in the early 2000's and the information is dated to say the least. This book is the best book that covers up to date ipv6 topics and standards for both windows and networking, Cisco Press has this detailed that is this up to date. Great book!
