DESCRIPTION:
Romance? I enjoyed the characters but missed the slow dance of two people getting to know each other and having that personal angst of does she or doesn't she. It was a wham, bam, thank you ma'am moment. I truly enjoy the dance of romance which I didn't find in this book. I liked it overall. Judge for yourself. I listened to it at the same time. Emily Beresford is a decent narrator.. This story will keep you turning the pages. Dana I thought this was a great book. The author kept the fast pace up through out the book. I love books that deal with will life things, which this book dealt with many. The depth of the writing kept me interested, and turning pages. I liked how two flawed characters came together perfectly.. Nancy said Heartfelt, Thoughtful Read. I read this novel in one night. It is a thoughtful and emotional read. This is a book about two people learning to come to terms with life. Sawyer is facing the demons of her past, and Sage is confronting new realities in her future (including Sawyer's demons). There is a fair degree of action and suspense, but at its heart this is a story about people. It's about flawed, fragile people and how love is the most powerful healing entity we have. Perhaps that is why it resonated with me. The book also employs a host of colorful supporting characters. That allows you to see both Sawyer and Sage in greater depth. Great firs

To move forward into a fulfilling relationship, Sawyer must come to terms. Sawyer’s alone, not necessarily because she wants to be, but because horrors in her past have left her drifting in seething waters. At almost forty, she comes to realize that her marital problems weren’t due to a lack of sexual desire, but rather, her lack of sexual desire for a man. Sawyer James is a cop. She’s divorced and alone. But is everything enough?. It’s who she is and all she ever wanted to be. Mainly though, it’s a story of Sawyer’s journey to forgive—another and herself. Coming to Terms is a love story—and so much more. Sage Carson is a clinical social worker. Alone, is definitely preferable to being married. Sage’s attraction to Sawyer is an awakening. In their struggle—to love—to forgive—to survive—Sage and Sawyer risk everything. The job is all she has. It’s a story of the hunt for a serial rapist, turned murderer. It’s a story of the impact of sexual abuse and addiction. To move forward, to not spend her life alone, Sage must come to terms—with her own sexuality and with Sawyer
