DESCRIPTION:
"Great book for learning mechanism design theory" according to Pennestri' Ettore. This book contains a theoretically sound introduction to mechanism design. Each topic is very well explained. I strongly recommend this book foranyone seriously interested in learning about kinematics of mechanisms. I got interested in kinematics long time (1980) ago after reading the papers from Prof.C.H. Chiang. I like very much the author's teaching style. He also authored an outstanding book on spherical kinematics.. emiliano_the continuum said Great book!. Professor Chiang geometrical approaches to build their mechanisms. Even tough it is a good book i prefer Burton Paul's kinematics of planar machinery.
It introduces fundamental concepts of instantaneous planar kinematics; deals with dimensional synthesis, or design, of planar linkages; and describes the harmonic analysis of motion and kinetic energy in planar four-link mechanisms.. A study of the kinematics and design of planar mechanisms
