DESCRIPTION:
Avery S. Fullerton said OR/Math/Programming Guy. I really like this book. It is a short, focused text on graduate level integration theory. It is out of print, but is relatively cheap throught the used book sources. I am not noticing typos (which are too prevalent in more modern texts). The problems are relatively easy; the approach is abstract.. J. Cook said Just the right level of generality. This book proves the basic theorems of integration theory in as much generality as it can without introducing distracting complications. That is, when faced with a choice between generality or clarity, this book always chooses clarity.. Helpful. I'm just starting to learn measure theory and integration. This out-of-print text is much less expensive than the in-print edition. I found it to be a helpful supplement. Some texts leave too many proofs as exercises. Bartle offers more complete proofs and does a pretty good job of giving motivations as he proceeds.
