We open with the sadness, heart wrenching story of abuse found on a domestic violence call. Carter finds young Alex locked in the filthy attic room, and proceeds to get the boy help. The mother is taken to the hospital, the bad man arrested. Here is where Donald comes to the rescue. He's the social worker who knows how to help 5 yr. old Alex.
