But i found the description of the remedies actions to be too short to make a decision between the mentioned remedies. Only once was I able to use this book to find a remedy that worked. Then I bought a Materia Medica which has a list of the modalities for each remedy. Better from heat or cold. better or worse from food, etc. So I would use this book to get a list of remedies for the acute condition disqualify about half of them from the brief description. Everybody's Guide to Homeopathic Medicines aids a person to find anything, it seems, to treat illnesses, diseases, skin problems, and other many varied reasons to have medicines handy. It's written very down to earth and is not complicated. Anyone who doesn't trust prescription medicines in these days needs this handy 'manual' to treating things with natural medicines, many of which are found in our own kitchens and bathrooms..
