"Do recommend." according to Booklady. Interesting to find how someone else views the world and how to survive in it. Am presently enjoying the TV series Red Band Society which is a takeoff on this book. The author has definitely been through a lot in his life. Do recommend.. M. Waring said Odd book. Weird book by a weird guy. I wanted to like this book, but the truth is, it's just strange. I think the author considers himself a deep philosopher, but in reality he just has a lot of odd ideas.. It almost reads like a self-help book, however it is more of a first person story- sort of a memoir telling you how he kept his spirits up and what happened in his life from 14-24.
