Review for Illustrated Guide to American Freight Train Equipment by: Patrick C. Dorin Patrick Mccarthy This book was way below my expectations. The pictures were below average, and the author did not give any insight or information about what the freight cars were loaded with, what types of service they were used for, or the builder of the freight cars. This book really lacked for knowledge concerning freight cars in North America. I would not recommend this book to anyone who wishes to learn about North American freight cars.. David Simpson said Two Stars. lacks info on when cars went into service and were withdrawn. Pictures I can get anywhere. Not Helpful Michael Eno Written like a kids book. The only color photos are of cabooses. Amateurish. No real helpful info for a detail-oriented modeler.
