Still an excellent book, but Still an excellent book, but 4 stars from me Englishlass Full of colorful, glossy photographs covering all of the series and movies, it really is a must have for any Star Trek fan. Some of the costumes show the original sketches, alongside interesting stories. As detailed as the book is covering all aspects of the ST universe (aliens included), I wish they had been more detailed on Starfleet insignia. For Example: They only show one TOS (The Original Series), uniform for Lt. Uhura. Season 3 was quite different from Seasons 1-2. And they left out her 'Mirror, Mirror' uniform, (but included Spock's and Kirk's). While this book was supposed to come out 10/20 of this year, Amazon happened to have it in stock, so I ordered it. It arrived today and after much anticipation and months of hearing about this massive book, I can say it throughly lived up to expectations.This is my first Amazon review and I have been a lifelong Trek fan, this is a MUST have for any Trekkie out there. The beautiful photos, descriptions and commentary from designers immerses you into the behind the scenes of this amazing franchise. A lot of time is spent on the original series, showing how the "simple" uniforms shouldn. Like costuming ? This is the book you should get Martha Jones This is a wonderful coffee table book. And it's great for both fans of the show and anyone who wants to be a costume designer. The amazing thing is what you can do with no budget and what can be done with a larger budget. The photography is great and the text is informative.
