Excellent book on train history It says that I bought this book in November 26, 1997, and I think it was oddly enough my first Amazon.com purchase. Why this book? I guess it was not available anywhere else. It's still not available as a new book. I can't explain how I purchased this book when the pub date is 1998 in 1997. I still have the book, and it . "Gift for 89 year old Uncle" according to Sweet Sue. My Uncle is in a VA nursing home and has a life long love of old trains; he used to work for the railroad. He reportedly loved this book.
