DESCRIPTION:
I thought about titling my book and decided on the title, "The FBI, A Vocation to Serve". I told them if they have a hard time getting to the office, maybe they are in the wrong field. I have always told my children to get jobs in serve to others. As a young clerk I was inspired when I saw the agents take violent people off the street. It was grand.. I never had a problem going to work each day. I saw them use their God given talents to out think those violent criminals and I saw them removed from society so they couldn't harm anyone else. I guess the reason that is, is because most criminals are violent people and priests' vocation is to tend to their souls while as an FBI agent's vocation is to get them off the street to protect those that can't defend themselves. It may be difficult to believe or may seem inconsistent but some agents were actually priests and many were in the seminary to become priests. I had a fulfilled life and a vocation to serve. The entire mission of the FBI is to protect the weaker and the integrity of the United States. I felt it is truly a vocation and not a job and it is a call to serve the people of America
Diana Casper Durenberger said Of course I love my dad's book. Of course I love my dad's book! I have heard many of his FBI stories, well, ones that he could tell. But now reading about how he began as an FBI clerk, dragging my mom and kids all around the county, is inspirational. My dad loved every single minute of his career, never dreading going to work, as he always told the four of us. This is a beautiful reminder of the sacrifices he made to keep the U.S. secure. I cherish the stories that were new to me and am delighted that my boys will have a book about the life of their grandpa! Great book that will bring tears to your eyes, as well as smiles to your face! You did it!!. Excellent read! Mr Bryant Watkins Excellent read! Mr. Casper gives a close and interesting look inside the workings of rank and file agents who make up the successes of the FBI cases.Bryant Watkins. ***** Marie D. Lazzari I haven't read it yet, but I know and worked with the author, so I am sure it will be great. Marie Lazzari.
