Nice read, but limited amount of the art of race car design within This book has been mistitledthere is very little about race car design in it. This is less Bob Riley's fault and more Jonathan Ingram's fault. Jonathan must not know anything about Race Car Design or even what those words mean.Here are two examples of the extent of technical depth of the book - please forgive the paraphrasing but it would be too much to go thru the book again to glean exact quotes:"so and so had a car built by somebody else that was giving them trouble. we were able to apply things we'd learned elsewhere to sort out their problem""make sure you don't have any crazy amounts of bump steer""I made. Great background stories A very good read, with interesting stories by many of the drivers and other individuals named in the book. More of a "how I did it" rather than a how-to book. You don't have to be interested in designing race cars to enjoy this book, just an interest in racing.. Hard work, careful consideration and diligent design = Outstanding Race Cars An enjoyable story detailing of how Bob Riley learned the basics of race car engineering by seeing, doing, and developing a progression of race cars that have set the standard in so many classes of motorsports. A proven master in the craft of race car design and development.
