DESCRIPTION:
Launched in an era when speed and grandeur went hand in hand, the RMS Queen Mary is the last survivor of the golden age of ocean liners. Movie stars, tycoons, politicians, and royalty shared a ship with everyday people, for whom this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Refurbished and polished to her previous glory, the Queen Mary continued to carry passengers until her final voyage to Long Beach in 1967. Not many of this genre are that large anymore, maybe due to the economic state of things today. However, in the limited world of truly fabulous ocean liner books, this is one of the nicer ones in terms . Nice book C. Walk I recently stayed on the Queen Mary and wanted to by a book that showed some of its history. I settled on this one and I am happy with it.
