"Great springboard book" according to Chris F. This text says it is going to not go into much detail, and it doesn't. What it does do, however, is cover a broad range of subjects and, more importantly, provides references. So, if you need to learn about a certain topic in more detail, you can look at the reference for that section, which the author is very good about citing.
