DESCRIPTION:

"Full of information I found useful and a few details I found surprising" according to Michael Stewart. Full of information I found useful and a few details I found surprising. I also found the airfield maps and location details interesting.. I was expecting more I was slightly disappointed slightly in this book. The book is true to its title in that it mainly is a chronological list of airfields used in the UK during the Second War War. Some of the photographs (which are excellent and very sharp), if studied in detail, provide a glimpse into airfield life and throughout the book there are interesting facts and figures about various airfields. The introduction to the development of airfields is interesting and well written, however, the final chapter that deals with the human perspective is, in my opinion, lacking. . Perfect Excellent product, accurate product description, fast service, clear and helpful communication. Great product and well cushioned. Great pictures & lots of detail
