Captivating This is the first book I have read by Jlee Meyer and it will not be the last. I found this book to simply be captivating. The characters are well developed and it is easy to relate to them. I think too often we brush abuse that occurs in lesbian relationships under the carpet and Ms. Meyer takes a honest look and is able to share with the readers without being overly graphic. Additionally the garbage that takes place in Corporate America is alive and well within th. Agreed: Less IS more. Keats I find it challenging reviewing this book because I genuinely want to love it. A few things threw me off with this one:1. Character development: It seemed a bit sketchy to me at times. I like both main characters but it got a little overwhelming with the additional characters floating in the background then suddenly stealing scenes. For example, I loved Ember but only needed a small dose of her. I ended up liking her more than everyone else!2. The dialogue: I love . Kay Lisiecki said JLee Meyer is a newbie that's going places!!. The first couple of pages were a little slow but if you can hang on through those then you can't put the book down.I like the way she wound some of her characters from her other books into Hotel leaving it open for a sequel,,,[keeping my fingers crossed] I haven't read Forever Friends yet, it didn't "grab me" Maybe I will now.:-)I was kind of hoping to see something happen to Rochelle after everything she did,because she is probably just going to hurt another woman
