excellent Really well done for both children of same sex parents and children of traditional family make ups who have questions. As a shrink, I would choose this book to keep available in my office. Very good children's book. It gives children the platform to understand that many families have different members that make up what a family is to them.. Great new edition resolves many issues This new edition (2015, with illustrations by Laura Cornell) is a big improvement. It's much more attractive--with zippy color illustrations--and the content is more focused. Eliminating the details about how her moms met and got artificially inseminated, this new edition simply makes the point that families come in all shapes and varieties--the important thing is love.
