A Customer said textbook style, complete overview. I read this book as a contractor seeking to modify my standard contract to that which would apply to architects and engineers as sub-contractors. This book clearly introduces every aspect of contracts, and amplifies the reasoning behind these aspects using cases and examples. This book is only for those who wish to study and apply these concepts. It has no "templates" or boilerplate contracts. It is very valuable in developing an understanding of what is in construction contracts and why.. A Jewel among Textbooks One of my professors put this on his book list for a project management course because it provides a relatively concise and accessible exposition of introductory contract law. Relatively.If horrible writing and the incessant dull thud of pedantry make you think, "Goldang, these folks is smart," you will find this work impressive. If you have yet to concede that cogency and salience are incompatible with scholarship, you will find this book to be fully half as bad as the average text written by the average team of thundering dumkopfs in mortar boards; thus tw. This book is straightforward without a lot of 'boring court study cases' (cases are cited as reference for further study is the reader desire to do so) which makes it easy to read and understand. The issues and decisions are briefly explained, which is to the reader's benefit. Please note that I did find a few typos as I studied the text.
