Read the poems with a friend or loved one for a beautiful, sensuous experience.. This work grew from reading haiku poetry which appealed to me. Haiku guided me to sonnets, then to longer works. They are expressed with rhythm, happiness, affection, romance, desire, love, lust, anger, hate and fear. Many of the poems here work with syllables as in haiku or tanka poetry or may use the same number of syllables in each line. Haiku reminded me of high school and college English classes, long forgotten but now resurrected in some of these poems. They give me the opportunity to use uncommon words such as azygous, pulchritude and specious to paint mental pictures, to sculpture ideas and songs of thought
