"Best Paper on Drainage Ever Written" according to Samuel J. Weisgal. First, this was written in 1859 - anyone who doesn't rate this 5 stars knows nothing about soils and drainage. Otherwise they would recognize the original Bible regarding farm drainage. SOoooooooo many people think a French Drain, as in waterproofing, which it never was, or in water management which it always was, is, and will be, has to do with France. It does not. It is Henry French.Also, this paper written over 150 years ago is still valid today.Good reading if you're a soils, concrete, and drai. "Historic yet usable." according to Amazon Customer. More of a historical reference although there is a lot of good info in this book.. The "High Quality Paperback" does not contain the 87 +/- H. L. Henderson The "High Quality Paperback" does not contain the 87 +/- plates described at the beginning of the book. The plates (diagrams) are a critical and integral to the text. Amazon should have indicated on the book's site that his version did not contain the "Plates" in this version.
