Fun and Steamy Kristin Dearborn Blood Bound and Beautiful is a dazzling blend of erotica and really solid high fantasy. My only complaint is that Cherry builds such an interesting, well-populated world that I want to know more about all of it. It's easy to visualize all the scenes--from the bedroom to the battlefield, exotic creatures, beautiful heroines. Cherry's prose is like a paintbrush. The erotica is so good it could stand without the plot, and the plot could easily stand without the sex--but thank goodness, they're bundled together. The world building was amazing! I loved how the author combined vampires, gargoyles, gods and goddesses, ancient curses and medieval humans into one cohesive world. The two couples that made up the main characters were both very intriguing and you were pulling for them throughout the whole novel.I saw the main theme of this novel to be how sometimes we can pay for our ancestors’ mistakes or selfishness.
