If you are like me, you will use the info in this book, and the info in other books to help you in your career that is also your journey.. Take these principles and apply them if you are in a larger city. Art & Money: This is not a thick book, nor one that it will take you a long time to read if you read it like a novel. This is not a novel however, and I don't give you superfluous chatter and nonsensical musings. This book is about artists and money, artists in the community, artists supporting artists, artists and businesses, and about artists and charities. About the Author Since moving to Kelowna in 2002, Julia Trops has taught drawing, trained life drawing models, and was the sole founding organizer of the weekly Life Drawing sessions at the Rotary Centre for the Arts. . In 2011, Julia was shortlisted for the City of Kelowna’s Honour in the Arts. In 2012 and 2013, Julia was selected for artist in residence with BAU New York and Can Serrat Spain. These sessions began the development of the non profit life drawing group, incorporated two years later in 2005 as Livessence Society of Figurative Artists and Models. Encouraging other artists to get their name in print, 2009 onwards, Julia has compiled the Okanagan Erotic Art Show Catalog since 2009, and the Simplicity in Mind for Livessence, both of which are held in the National Library of Canada.
