Therapeutic for Helen, maybe Not what I expected. Written after Annie died. Helen is old and sad and depressed. It seems Annie pushed herself too hard, reading too many books with her weak eyes - so that she would be able to instruct Helen. Doctors warned Annie to read very little. (Annie was nearly blind) Helen's guilt is painful to read. My feeling is this book, while perhaps therapeutic for Helen, should not have been published, or should have been severely edited. It is not so much about Annie. It is much more about Helen's remorse . "Rounds out the body of Keller/Sullivan literature" according to JC Reader.
