The author, does a marvelous job of presenting not only Socrates' life and times but also his philosophical ideas in a simple, straightforward way. Socrates was a rationalist, but what I especially like about this book is that we get to see Socrates' mystical or spiritual side, which is presented in a lighthearted, yet serious way.. good read on socrates hanna-nanna This is a worthy book for history and philosophy lovers as book gives the entire life and philosophy of the great western philosopher Socrates, from his early life to his philosophy and impact on the world , everything is discussed in detail here in this book. this book is very well researched and compiled.
