Whenever somebody is reading the book, or referring to a passage, they cite the page number.Yeah, I know, Page 417, "Acceptance is the answer" but this should be an easy fix.. Jonathan Tennis said The Big Book helps wtih the serenity to accept the things we cannot change. "We are taught to differentiate between our wants (which are never satisfied) and our needs (which are always provided for). We cast off the burdens of the past and the anxieties of the future, as we begin to live in the present, one day at a time. Thinking of this as a "text book" put me off at first until I actually started reading it. Definitions and explanations from the Medical Profession, and the experiences of some of those who have gone through the process of becoming sober and productive people gave me hope when there was none left. Previous editions and any forthcoming editions are well worth acquiring as well as giving a much better insight as to the experiences of those who have been successful in becoming sober.
