R. C. Planck said OUTDATED!. I was all excited about this book, especially after reading the reviews. Boy, was I disappointed!!!!!!! This book is not only written with MEN ONLY in mind (all referenced made to men, pics of menswear, etc.), it must've been written at least FORTY YEARS ago. There are so many references to triple-ply 70's polyester and hippies, it seems horribly out of date and out of touch in the year "OUTDATED!" according to R. C. Planck. Once past the hard sell drone of how important his topic and point was, the author has given me much of the information I originally sought. Wished that there was my pictures to demonstrate topics and one chapter refers to a chart that does not exist in the edition. these short commings aside, the book is authoritative and a help to me. S. A Customer said A book you can use over and over again. I only buy books I can use over and over again. This book I use as a reference guide before I buy a new suit or custom made shirts. Also most people I see; purchase their suit and do not properly do alterations or let their tailor do them insufficiently. My experience is that most people in any kind of work will do their job in a fashion that is easier for them and not the customer. Since purchasing Mr. Thourlby's book, my tailor and shirtmaker know I mean business when I visit them. The book is also very easy to read and entertaining. My favorite chapter is: To Soap o
