DESCRIPTION:

"Janet's book is the best book for the basics of TT" according to Patricia J. Connell. It has become difficult to find this book and I use it as a text for a basic Therapeutic Touch class. when I find copies I buy as many as I can and stock pile for my classes. Janet's book is the best book for the basics of TT.. "Good information source book." according to Dr. Doodle. Therapeutic Touch is an energy therapy modality that is little understood in the mainstream healthcare communities. This book is pretty straight forward as it tries to put to words something that requires the going into the realm of intuition and sensitivity where words kind of fall short. So the author does a pretty good job I think. This is an experiential artform or therapy practice so a retreat or "hands on" (no pun or irony intended) training is reall. "One of the best books to teach you how" according to Judy. This is one of the two best books I know on how to do Therapeutic Touch. It's a beginner's book and guides you through from start to finish, whether you have no experience or just have had a little. This is a classic, and really great! Thanks for writing it for us!

A trained practitioner can feel these blockages and use his hands to help clear them and to redirect the patient's energy flow to a more healthy pattern. Although still considered experimental, therapeutic touch is used in many hospitals alongside more conventional medicine to alleviate a variety of injuries and illnesses. Copyright 1988 Reed Business Information, Inc. From Publishers Weekly This is a clear and concise introduction to therapeutic touch, a healing art based on the ancient practice of lying on hands.
