Instead of being a mind blowing and hard to believe conspiracy read (that you badly want to believe but in the back of your mind you just know isn't possible), The Great Titanic Conspiracy simply lets you sleep well at night knowing that there are people out there trying to correct absurd stories passed off as historical fact. Read the book and feel good that reason and logic have won this battle. It is best to have a little better than average understanding of the history of the time period in that the characters and eve. Franklin Steward said Convincing in part. The book is very convincing about the Olympic and the Titanic being switched. That alone makes this book definitely worth reading for people interested in this subject. Frankly, it is not uncommon for the hulls of sister ships to be switched for one reason or another. The rest of the "conspiracy" beyond the mere switching of the vessels becomes a bit hard to accept.. Thoroughly engrossing story and shocking revelations I was told about the controversy regarding the Titanic and Olympic vessels being switched as part of a scheme to defraud maritime insurers and was skeptical. The layers of facts and hypotheses advanced by the author are incredibly intriguing. Hard to imagine at least some of it not being true.
