Diagrams CAN be useful, descriptions become repetitive Careful. This book's analysis of architecture is strictly Formal (as mentioned in the title) and should not be read as a guide to design. Although a lot of the points Eisenmann makes are interesting the book does become repetitive when it comes to the analyses of the various works. The diagrams he includes with his analyses are great, and very relevant to what he is talking about.The feel of the book is
