It's about hope and inspiration but it's also a love story A. Shea Last night at 10:00pm, I picked up Laura's book to read "a few pages" before I retired for the night.I couldn't put it down! I read the whole thing in one sitting and I yearned for more. I cried. I smiled. I felt uplifted. I do not have cancer, but my life has been touched by those who do, and my younger brother died of it when he was only 39.I loved this book.Laura's writing style is so vivid and loaded with imagery without bei. This one brole and healed my heart I am a cancer survivor. I have not had cancer myself, but everyone in my immediate family has died of cancer. I am their survivor. Memoirs of survivors always intrigue me. I was delighted to find, as I read this book through in an evening, in a heartbeat, that Swimming On My Wedding Day is a love story.Imagine two people, no longer young and having given up on True Love, who turn an ordinary corner one day and meet The One. But . An uplifting journey! This book is a beautifully written account of surviving cancer with heart and hope. A must read for anyone who has someone in their life who is facing cancer or has it themselves.I found that it gave me a window into what it is like for someone to fight a life threatening disease and, most importantly, how to be of help to them.
