I wish it had been more Edwin Way Teale's I wish it had been more Howard Edwin Way Teale's 4-book American seasons series is one of my all-time favorites of nature/travel books. I've read each book at least twice, and "North with Spring", the first of the series, more than that. Sadly, today it has fallen into neglect (it's out of print for many years). When I saw that this book was in the working, I immediately pre-ordered it and eagerly awaited its publication.Unfortunately, this book leaves me more than a little bit unsatisfied. First off, it is on the thin side. I am not just talking about the length, which is part of the issue -- Teale's original is 337 pa. -book American seasons series is one of my all-time favorites of nature/travel books.
