"Make the Bread, Buy the Butter" according to Diane Marion. Fabulous book with many different ideas and recipes, I was specifically looking for from scratch recipes for home made ricotta cheese and the like and I have found so many great from scratch recipes all in this one book. I heard about it on WNPR radio show while listening to the Food Schmooze with, Faith MiddletonI am so happy with my investment. "Wonderful, funny, and helpful!" according to Dairy Maid. I was expecting an earnest, somewhat pedantic book but instead found myself laughing out loud again and again. Yes, I learned a lot but was equally entertained and charmed by the author's thoughtful, dry, and wry sense of humor. My husband is grateful because he now knows I'm not going to come home with a goat any time soon.. Good bang for the buck!! Prolific Baker Awesome book. Giving you basic recipes for everything from bread to Hot dog buns and the associated cost and time. Well worth the read. Nicely done!
