A five star This subject can be very touchy for some. I respect RJ for writing a book on the LGBT!!!. The subject of lesbian's or gays however is not touchy to me. My daughter is a lesbian. Reading this book educated me into understanding how far back the hate goes!! It's a very educational read for those of us that are caring enough to want to understand. It's a sad world that we live in. Hate crimes against LGBT is a serious problem all around the world!!! Thank you RJ for writing such a wonderful book!!!! A must read!!!!. B. Mckee said A brief history of violence and murder among the LGBT community. Here's a book packed with interesting information about crime and violence due to sexual orientation. It begins with a brief history of the laws and punishments based on homosexuality dating from the Middle Ages. Same-sex relationships were considered wicked and aberrant and were frequently punishable by death. The book contains many instances of violence and murder based on the victims' perceived sexuality. Protests and calls for action by the LGBT community have resulted in new laws classifying such acts as hate crimes.
