Average text I got this manual not expecting much from it and my expectations were about right. It provides very basic and generalized information about the truck. Not a lot of illustrations of assemblies to ease the explanation of disassembly and reassembly. There are only very basic wire diagrams as well. Overall, not great but better than nothing.. Not the CHILTON of my youth Cholla Boy It's good for the shade tree mechanic, but as others have noted - I remember these as having more detailed descriptions for disassembly of the majority of the vehicle. Since I've a 2K1, it will help me with some of the idiosyncrasies of vehicle specific required periodic maintenance, but the detailed repairs will be left to me going beyond what is documented within this tome. :-(. Truck savvy MG said Not as expected. Chilton handbooks used to be the premier bible for a home mechanic. However, since Haynes has bought them out, I was very disappointed in the lack of detail in the instructions, the quality of the print, and the times that they simply stated: do not try on your own. Really? Why do you think I purchased a Chilton, instead of an Haynes?
