Tracy H. said Five Stars. As described.. Excellent Human Development Resource This is an excellent book for a beginner/crash course in person-in-environment development. It gives an overview of the Life Course Perspective, and a briefing of other types of developmental perspectives. Each chapter then goes into details concerning each life stage. Information includes risk and protective factors, special concerns, how social environment could impact a person at a certain stage, and key terms and definitions. It is a very easy read, and is packed full with useful diagrams and questions. The design is very well laid out, which makes it a quick resource when you need information on different theories or stages. I w. "DHB" according to Deborah Charalambakis. Really interesting textbook. Emphasizes a lot on how people behave the way they do; perfect for social work classes and/majors.
